I went to school to study graphic design at George Brown College. I then worked at SD Graphics doing primarily pre-press work, which involved trapping, typesetting and film output. Next I worked at Rockprint Inc. for three years as graphic designer. We were the in-house graphics to Johnvince Foods. I feel here is where I really grew as a graphic artist. I did everything from corporate design, package design, pre-press (trapping and film output) to digital photography.
From there I continued to take on casual jobs from Aquent partners and my own free-lance work. I then got a position as a layout artist at Yellow Pages Group (formally Bell Actimedia) for a period of ten years. I created black/white and full colour process ads from quarter to full-page for various clients in a range of professions in this popular print directory.
And most recently I’ve worked as a bilingual layout artist at Wall2Wall Media (a division of the Yellow Pages Group) for a period of one and half years. I designed layout ads in monthly real estate publications in the Québec region such as Maisons À Vendre Montréal, Maisons À Vendre Outaouais and ReMax Montréal. I also assisted with various english publications such as Home Décor and Renovations and Commercial Investor. And furthermore I assisted in updating client websites in our inhouse web department using their wall2wall.blueroof360.com template system.
